:-  Check spam allows you to check your spam score.

Spam filters perform regular tests on mail messages to determine if they are spam or not. Most of them work on a spam score system, so that the occurrence of just one “spam phrase” probably will not trigger rejection. But if your spam score is too high, your message will get blocked, even if it is well designed and formatted.

Before sending your newsletters, always remember to perform a spam check. This tool will tell you what your spam score is, based on the SpamAssassin rules. If you get a big score (ex. more than 5) then it is better that you adjust your newsletter before sending. Always save deliverability by avoiding all those “spam” words.

Steps to check Spamscore of the composed email,

  • Click the Check Spam button.

  • If your Spam score >=5 , check the  spam checker result and avoid the spam triggers by adjusting the content of the newsletter
  • Repeat the above two steps until you get a score<5.

:-  Inserts unsubscription links to your newsletters. Unsubscription links are important for maintaining healthy email lists. Morphymail allows 2 types of unsubscription through your email: Insert Web based unsubscribe links and Insert Pop3 based unsubscribe links.

To insert  Web based unsubscription links  in your email,

Click the Place link button to insert the link in your email message.

When the recipient of the email clicks this link, their email id will be added to a web based  unsubscription list. Morphymail automatically removes all these email ids from all your mailing lists, when you click Remove All Unsubscribers from All Mailing lists button in Manage Subscription window OR  Process Unsubscriptions under Settings option of navigation panel.

To insert  email POP3 based unsubscription links  in your email,

  • Choose Collect Unsubscribed Via email sub-option from  Unsubscribe , then the dialog box appears as below
  • Enter the subject for Unsubscription email, by default it is UNSUBSCRIBE.

When a recipient clicks on the unsubscribe link in the email message, a message with this text in the subject line is sent to the subscription managing email address. Morphymail  downloads  messages from this POP3 account, verifies the subject of downloaded messages and unsubscribes the sender with this subject from the related distribution list.

  • specify the text for the unsubscription link (By default the unsubscription link text will be “If you want to unsubscribe then click here” . ).
  • Enter the email id used for unsubscription/subscription management.

Which email address should I use for this?

It is advisable to dedicate a different subscribe/unsubscribe e-mail address for subscription management, that is, an address that is not used for any standard email sending and receiving. This will minimize the risk of receiving spam (that will be ignored during the downloading process of subscription management) and will make it easy to manage the lists. This makes message downloading faster and, most of all, the account space will be preserved. Some services have a limit on the total amount of space that the messages can occupy, and if the given space gets filled, no more messages are delivered.

  • Click the Place link button to insert the link in your email message.

The email recipients not interested in a newsletters will click on the unsubscribe link, then a message with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line is sent to this email address. In the Manage subscriptions option in Morphymail, enter the correct parameters to access the POP3 account and To verify the parameters just click on Connection test button. Click Start button, all  the pop3 messages will be downloaded and all the unsubscribed email recipients will be unsubscribed from the selected distribution list.

:-Google Analytics is the most widespread web analytics solution; it gives you rich insights into your website traffic and marketing effectiveness. If you already use Analytics on your website, you will be able to easily track your email campaigns too: just use this Google Analytics button .

Enter the campaign details : Campaign term(The search term purchased (if the link refers to keywords)), Campaign Content(The version of the ad (used for A/B testing) or in Ad Words. You can identify two versions of the same ad using this variable.), and Campaign Name(The name of the marketing campaign, e.g. Spring Campaign.). and click Insert.

Note : To set up email tracking, the links from your email to the landing pages should be tagged with standard campaign tracking parameters. These are up to 5 “name-value” pairs (utm_campaign, utm_medium, utm_source, utm_term and utm_content) are part of the query string for the URL. Morphymail Google Analytics option automatically tags email campaign links with Google analytics campaign tracking parameters – it’s very tedious otherwise. This is a huge time saver since  you can set up the campaign tracking tags within the email system rather than having to manually add them to each link in email.

Please remember that Google Analytics must already be installed on your website (or on the website recipients are redirected to). You need to be familiar with the service in order to be able to understand the tracking information it provides.
